Announcement: Production Crew Positions Available

Serving Our College Since Fall 2013

Commodore Productions at Gulf Coast State College was Established in the Fall 2013, with the Opening of the Charles Hilton Center for Advanced Technology and Hospitality Management (formerly the Advanced Technology Center).

Student Vision

Students entering the college’s newly created Digital Media Bachelors Program wanted a way to cover college events, including athletics via streaming and broadcasting technologies. Several students founded the Organization and with support form GCSC SGA, the team hit the ground running.

Continued Growth

Today the organization produces over 100 events in a school calendar year, giving students the opportunities with hands-on experience as they pursue their degree.

Production Crew

Technical Director

This position is the brains and operation of the production team. In this position you will get hands-on experience running a Newtek (Vizrt) Tricaster system. Coordination with all crew members during an event.

Audio Technician

If you recoding/broadcasting a event, and you want to hear it, then this is the position that will give you hand-on audio board operations. Learn More

Graphics Operator

Commodore Productions has access to state of the art graphics program, to produce stunning, animated on-screen graphics using NewblueFX software. This position will give you hands-on graphics creation, producing, and live content. Learn More

Camera Operator

This is a position that is the eyes of the production. In coordination with he technical director, this is the heart and soul of a production team. When you add multiple cameras into the production, capturing those unique views, gives the audience a thrilling visual content to watch. Learn More

Campus Events

Commodore Productions has access to several different units around campus, ranging from 8 inputs to 16 inputs, and thousands of other available configurations, which DDR’s, Graphics Channels, Buffer Channels, and Mix Layer Effects, including Chroma key.

Athletic Events

Working with Gulf Coast State College Athletics, Commodore Productions works to cover all home games, on streaming, and on local TV in the Bay County area, via local cable provider. Online analytics has shown our content being watched from Australia to Europe, and everywhere in between.

Campus Ceremonies

Pinning Ceremonies, GCSC Graduation Ceremonies, and with our partnership with Florida State University Panama City, we do some ceremony events for them. This gives student real world experience, working with an actual business client to produce a production event.
